Goal of Mental Balance:

The goal is to help people, in particular men, acknowledge, understand and win their mental battles. "WHAT HAPPENS IN YOU IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU."

Why it's important:

With everything going on in the world today people are losing their minds, feeling lonely and overwhelmed. Unfortunately most become prisoners of their own minds. Especially after dealing with a traumatic experience. People experience mixed emotions, flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety, and uncontrollable thoughts about the event - PTSD. People need to see they are not alone with what they are going through mentally.

How we're doing it:

Mental Balance does not operate on the idea of good or bad, but instead we accept that there will always be both, so we focus on the balance. Our workshop/speaking series called the "Balancing Act" will aim to highlight the mental battles men deal with everyday. Mental Balance is creating a platform to address the issues of men's mental health in an open forum. Hearing from people who have been through traumatic experiences but were able to use that fuel to form positive outcomes. Whether that be internally within themselves, their community or have had a broader impact through entrepreneurship or business that they have created.
